In order to increase the capability of the Urban Cooperative Banking industry, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) launched Mission SAKSHAM. It seeks to develop institutional resilience within UCBs, promote compliance culture, and improve managerial and operational competencies. As part of the mission-mode, sector-wide, and all-India capacity-building training project for UCBs, Mission SAKSHAM, the RBI will host many training programs for about 1 crore 40 lakh participants, including both in-person and online courses.

Board members, senior management, heads of risk, and other groups will be the focus of these programs. Wherever possible, content will be delivered in regional languages. The goal of Mission SAKSHAM is to create a self-reinforcing, sustainable ecology for the UCB sector’s healthy growth and development as well as systemic stability.
