Today is Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s 136th birthday, and the country honors him as the ChiefArchitect of the Indian Constitution. To commemorate the anniversary, a number of eventshave been planned across the nation. This morning, a celebration honoring Dr. B. R. Ambedkarwas held in the Parliament House Complex in New Delhi. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who was born in Madhya Pradesh on April 14, 1891, devoted his life tocombating social injustice and persistently pursued equal rights for women, laborers, andunderrepresented groups. As seen by the Indian Constitution, which he helped create, hisvision established the groundwork for a fair and inclusive society.

Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy as a nation-builder dedicated to promoting a just and equitable Indiawas solidified by his diverse contributions, which ranged from infrastructure and economicpolicy to constitutional law. In 1990, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar received the Bharat Ratna as aposthumous honor. On the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honoredhim. Mr. Modi stated on social media that Babasaheb Ambedkar’s nation-building efforts areincredibly inspiring. The prime minister said that generations to come are still motivated tocreate a fair and forward-thinking society by his life and work. He went on to say that nation-building will continue to draw inspiration from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s character andcontributions.

On the occasion of his birth, Home Minister Amit Shah greeted Babasahib Bhimrao Ambedkar,the father of social justice and the architect of the Constitution. Amit Shah said on socialmedia that Dr. Ambedkar’s Constitution, which gives every class equal rights andopportunities, established the solid basis of India’s democracy.

He pointed out that Dr. Ambedkar was adamantly against Article 370 in order to protect theintegrity of the nation. Mr. Shah went on to say that Babasahib taught everyone throughouthis life that every challenge becomes insignificant when the focus is on national duty and thewelfare of the populace. Babasahib also offered society the slogan to become educated andmaintain organization.
