New Delhi, 23 September 2026: Indian equity markets ended Wednesday on a positive note with the benchmark indices gaining around 0.4-0.6 per cent. The Nifty 50 up 117.80 points and the Sensex up 299.17 points. Bank Nifty was up by over 333 points in the session.

Broader market indices also moved up and select stocks from the Nifty 200 universe saw strong gains. Among the stocks mentioned above, SAIL was the biggest gainer and Persistent Systems was the biggest loser.
