India reached record exports of 860 billion US dollars in the fiscal year 2025–2026, according to Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. Mr. Goyal claimed in a social media post that the achievement, which was made in spite of international challenges, shows the nation’s tenacity and increasing power in broadening its trading reach internationally.

He went on to say that the government’s tnitiatives to make conducting business easier and to foster an atmosphere that is welcoming to investors and businesses will continue to fuel this expansion, bolstering the nation’s progress toward a Viksit Bharat.Nirmal Minda, President of ASSOCHAM, has praised the accomplishment and stated that it demonstrates the nation’s remarkable resilience in the face of serious global challenges.

According to Mr. Minda, the strong performance, which is driven by services exports and bolstered by important industries like electronics and engineering, promotes India’s increasing competitiveness in the global market. According to him, the achievement demonstrates successful industry and policy support, boosting confidence in the nation’s export growth trajectory and growing presence in a variety of international markets. He expressed optimism that India’s growing competitiveness in international markets could propel exports to over one trillion US dollars in the current fiscal year 2026–2027.
